Library Code of Conduct

Every place has rules that must be followed -- including the library.

Please remember the library is a place of learning and everyone deserves a quiet environment to read and learn.

Library Do's Library Don'ts
  •  Enjoy a good book or two!
  •  Ask for help when you need it.
  •  Learn something new each time you visit.
  •  Put unwanted books on the shelving cart.
  •  Check your books in properly -- check the computer screen to see if your books checked in.
  •  Check your books out properly -- ask for help if you have overdue books.
  •  Look for your overdue books in the library if you think you have returned them -- you might not have checked them in properly.
  •  Talking too loudly disturbs others -- monitor your voice levels (remember you are inside in the library)
  •  No running in the library -- you have plenty of time to find your books. Play it safe and you will not get hurt.
  •  No treating library materials, games, furniture with disrespect -- clean up after yourself and be careful with all library materials.
  •  No treating others with disrespect -- remember the library is a safe and fun place to learn -- we are all friends here!
