Hi!  My name is Leigh Anne Billing.  I am a Peer Facilitator at Garfield.  My job responsibilities include being the HOSTS mentoring program coordinator, a Gifted and Talented pullout teacher, PTA secretary just to name a few of the things I do.

I was born in Houston and attended South Houston High School (Yeah Trojans!)  I graduated from the University of Houston (Go Cougars!) with my Bachelors degree.  I have been teaching for a total of 16 years, 13 of those being at Garfield.  Yes, I am one of the few “Old timers” left, but I have loved every minute of being at Garfield!  I was a kindergarten teacher for 15 of those 16 years.

I am married with a daughter at Texas A & M (Gig’em Aggies!) and a 15 and 13 year old son.  My hobbies include being a dedicated “Soccer Mom”,  reading and interior decorating.  I love all kinds of food and my favorite color is red.
