Officer Keene Visits Mr. Alejandro's Third Grade Class
Mr. Alejandro's third grade curriculum includes exposing his students to real life experiences. When his students are able to interact directly with community leaders who talk with them about their career choices, the children understand more clearly what they themselves can become, what they can choose. With the help of Communities In Schools, Mr. Alejandro motivates his students to become life-long learners. Motivation to learn and excitement about learning take place in his classroom every day.
Officer Keen from the Pasadena Police Department spoke to students on his career choice. The children were mesmerized.
