US Army Officer Visits Third Grade Classroom

Communities In Schools invited Military Officer Joe Garza to come and speak to Mr. Alejandro’s 3rd grade students on his career choice.  Officer Garza explained to the students the US Army Soldier Values and gave ways they could to apply these to their daily lives.

The US Army Values are:

LOYALTY - Be true to yourself and to others

DUTY - Fulfill your obligations as a student, ask questions, raise your hand; volunteer to help your teacher if he needs it.

RESPECT - Treat each other and your teachers with respect at all times.

SELFLESS SERVICE - Be nice to everyone, even if you are having a bad day.

HONOR - Live up to all the Army values.

INTEGRITY - Do what's right, even when no one is looking; always tell the truth, even if it means getting in trouble.

PERSONAL COURAGE-Face your fears, if you do not understand something, ask a teacher or your parents for help.
