THE COMMANDOS VISIT GARDENS

To the delight of the students at Gardens, the Commandos rappelled down to visit,

performing such feats of strength as rolling a frying pan into a 'burrito',

tearing residential phonebooks into confetti and breaking the stack of cement blocks seen in the background here.

Interspersed with the action, the team talked to the children about the need for hard work to reach the goals one sets for one's self, and the need for self-discipline.

There are so many things which can distract you from your future, the young men said,

such as drugs and peer pressure to do wrong -- "But you can bust through these!" and they proceeded to split the wood blocks against their heads.

The children were enthralled!

The message of patriotism and the strength of our country was heard and understood.

A two inch steel bar was turned into a twizzle stick by one of the team,

to the tune of rousing cheers from the spectators.

Even the most restless little body was intent on their words and responsive to the questions.

Did you know that it takes about 300 psi pressure to explode a can of soda?

And how exactly do you calculate it so that you have a bit left to drink?

Afterwards, it was difficult to pry the children from the gym!
