AN AMERICAN CEREMONY TO REMEMBER THE VICTIMS OF THE TERRORIST ATTACKS

New York City, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania: Hear us. We cry with you.

HERO TRUE*

On Tuesday morning, September Eleventh, Two-thousand one,

America was attacked below a bright New York sun.

All of America has felt the agony of that horrible day

And to the world we have this to say:

Though it is hard to believe the World Trade Center is no more,

The spirit of those who died will forever soar!

The spirit of justice and freedom is here to stay --

it is our past, our future, the American way!

That we not forget each HERO TRUE:

to their honor we raise the red, white, and blue!
