Inside each link, you will see a variety of web pages that you can access from home our anywhere you have internet access. K- Our goal in kindergarten is to not only to cover the skills learned in PK, but to add additional skills to enhance students technology experience. During Kindergarten, our students start to experience different kinds of technology including our interactive white board, cameras in the classroom, website interactions and basic understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Paint. While using the interactive white board, children can learn to not only manipulate objects on the screen, but to build confidence by front-of-the-classroom presentations. With the addition of hand held voting machines, we hope to make presentation time more engaging and challenging as well. Our biggest goal in kindergarten is to allow children to learn the basics of computers, while giving them a taste of future programs. All students will be provided with basic internet and computer safety skills as well as technology safety for their future benefit using http://firewall.wikispaces.com/. |
