1- Our goal for first grade at Freeman is to build on the skills of kindergarten. While the ideas are the same on paper, the depth to which we take the lessons will be more challenging. Our students will continue to experience the different types of technology available in our school including our interactive white board, cameras in the classroom, website interactions and slightly more developed understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Paint. During 1st grade, we will also introduce the basic movie concept with the free download of Photo Story 3 from Microsoft. Our biggest goal in 1st grade is to get the students comfortable in and around basic programs. All students will be provided with basic internet and computer safety skills as well as technology safety for their future benefit using http://firewall.wikispaces.com/. |
