Attendance:

Frazier Owls always shine when it comes to attending school. We rank among the highest in attendance in the district. It is extremely important that your child attends school every day. We can make a difference if we all work together.

Please review the section on attendance in your student handbook.

Saturday School: (Tardies)

Saturday School is held at Young Elementary for those students who have excessive tardies. You will receive notice that your child has had more than 5 tardies and is being assigned to attend Saturday Class. K-2 students will attend from 8-10:00 with a parent. 3-5 students will attend from 8-12:00.

Student Awards:

Students making Honor and Merit Roll for the year will be presented a certificate at the Awards Assembly in May.

Dress Code:

Standard dress is required each day. We will require the students to have their shirts tucked in and the belt must be visible.

Please review the dress code procedures attached.

School Traffic Procedures:

School safety is one of our priorities. Mrs. Murphy and I will be assisting with the dismissal of our students each day possible. We ask that you place your grade level car tags from the rear view mirror each day. This procedure keeps the line moving so that you do not have to wait any longer than necessary.

Please review the traffic procedures that are attached.

School Visitation:

Visitors are always welcome at our school. However, for the safety of all of our children and to prevent classroom disruptions, all visitors are required to come to the office before going the classroom or cafeteria. The office staff will issue you a pass. NO VISITOR WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING WITHOUT A PASS. If you plan to stay longer than 30 minutes, you will need to make special arrangement with the teacher.

Weekly Folders:

Folders will be sent home with your child on each Tuesday. We will make every effort to send home notices from the principal and PTO in this folder. Please sign the folder and see that it is returned the next day. We hope that this will be a tool of communication with you.

Pre-K, first and second will take home a folder each day.
