Businessman, civic leader always lending a helping hand to district |

| Local businessman and community leader Ben
Meador Jr. was named the Pasadena Independent School District's Distinguished Alumnus 2000
at a recent reception held in his honor. A 1957 graduate of Pasadena High School, Meador remains a vital part of the community since graduation through participation in many civic and community activities and as a business owner for more than 30 years. "Ben is a great friend to the Pasadena Independent School District," said Superintendent Rick Schneider. "He is always ready and willing to give something back to his community and that made him a fine choice for this award." |
Meador is the president and chief executive
officer of Meador Staffing Services. The firm, opened in 1968, serves the human resource
and personnel staffing needs of local companies and industry. The business enjoyed much
success over the years growing to provide services for clients across the United States.
Meador Staffing ranked number two on the list of the top 25 staffing firms in Houston by the Houston Business Journal in 1998 and ranked in the top five for the past eight years. |
Headquartered in Pasadena, the company consists of 26 separate office locations, five of which are in the Houston and Pasadena area. The firm also owns a national personnel network with more than 140 affiliate offices and the Temporary Staffing and Contract Staffing Divisions supply interim clerical, light industrial and professional employees. |
