| Tony Furman was born on Jan. 16, 1981 in the small town of
Seymour, Indiana. He spent his childhood in Indiana, California, and Minnesota.
Tony graduated from Park High School in Cottage Grove, MN in 1999. He attended
Winona State University in Winona, MN, where he majored in Secondary Social
Studies Education. He graduated from college in December of 2003. From there,
Tony moved back to Indiana, where he substitute taught in schools around
northwest Indiana in the spring of 2004. In June of 2004, he was hired as an 8th
grade Social Studies Teacher at Southmore Intermediate School in Pasadena, TX.
Mr. Furman made the big move down to Texas in July. |

He loves the warm weather
that Texas has to offer and will not miss
shoveling the snow or chipping the ice off his car from the cold northern
winters. Besides his LOVE for teaching, Mr. Furman has many other interests as
well. In his spare time which these days is not too often) he enjoys playing
many different sports. He enjoys playing basketball, baseball, football, and
golf, as well as working out and running at the gym. Mr. Furman also likes
watching movies, going to concerts, and hanging out with
his friends. He is also an avid traveler as well. He has traveled to 40 out of
the 50 states and to Canada and Mexico. He likes visiting historic places and is
currently planning some future trips around the U.S. and
possibly to Europe |
