Retired Pasadena ISD Superintendent Dr. Rick Schneider served the district for the past 20 years, the last 13 in the district’s top administrative post. He became superintendent in 1993 after serving for serving as deputy superintendent for personnel. His instructional leadership and focused approach to student achievement has elevated the district among the leaders in academic achievement.

During his career, he was named as the Superintendent of the Year for Region IV. Under his leadership, Pasadena ISD was named a Texas Recognized District for seven consecutive years. In addition, many other campuses have earned state and national honors under his tenure.
