 WHO WE ARE

The Pasadena Independent School District, known for its high quality education and outstanding teaching staff, is pleased to offer another component to its already strong curriculum. The Pasadena Virtual School has been established to enable students to take high school courses online, on their own time, wherever access is available to the Internet and a computer. Online learning, the concept of teaching by delivering curriculum to a student via a computer and the Internet, helps students to master course content, as well as develop communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.

Pasadena Virtual School courses have been developed with the same requirements as traditional high school courses. The courses have been developed to ensure that the curriculum maps to district, state, and national standards. Students have the opportunity to interact with experienced and well-trained teachers as they work through the curriculum independently.

Pasadena Virtual School offers flexibility, responsibility, and compatibility for students who wish to enrich or supplement their educational program.
