Swapping Disk Drives

Depending on what you want to do with the laptop, you will want to have either the 3.5" floppy drive or the CD drive inserted into the laptop.

DO NOT REMOVE THE DRIVE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES!!

To swap drives, click the Hardware Eject button on the Task Bar (at the bottom of the screen).

Choose the floppy disk drive (A:) by left clicking it.  Then, click the Stop button.

Click OK to confirm the drive that is currently in the computer.

Then, click OK to remove the currently inserted drive.

Locate the drive release switch on the bottom of the laptop (below the drive).

Push the drive release switch to the right and (at the same time) push the disk drive out of the bay in which it is resting (pictured at the bottom left).

Once the drive is removed, you can insert the other drive.  Make sure that it "snaps" into place.  Repeat the procedures to replace the drive that has been removed.
