Charge Life of the Laptops

Once the laptop is removed, it will stay charged for about 2-3 hours.

If it is left unused for a while during the class, the user should consider going to Standby to conserve battery charge life.

You can go to Standby mode by doing one of the following things:

1.  Close the monitor (top cover) of the laptop.
2.  Go to Start-->Shutdown--> Standby.  (At this window, choose Stand by from the drop menu and click OK.)

Standby switches your computer to a low power state where devices, such as the monitor and hard disks, turn off and your computer uses less power.

To bring your computer out of Standby, press the power button above the F5/F6 key. You will be prompted to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Once you press these keys, your computer will be restored to its original state prior to Standby.
