High school is a time for our Gifted/Talented students to plan for their future. Experiences
in elementary and
intermediate school G/T programs have given these students the foundation for
self-directed learning and developing advanced level products. They now
use these skills to continue to expand their horizons and open new doors
by participation in advanced level courses such as Pre-AP and AP
courses, dual credit, the Texas Scholars Program and a variety of
academic competitions such as Academic Decathlon. Juniors and
seniors can participate in college-level courses which enable them to receive college credit when
they graduate from high school. Programs, courses and competitions
may vary at each high school. The combination of knowledge and
experience Pasadena ISD Gifted/Talented students gain in high
school provides them the foundation they need to succeed in college and the
work force.
