Primary Camp (for Kindergarten through second grade) focused on developing the student's creative potential while exploring the theme of patterns. Students worked independently and in small groups to study patterns in Lego designs, quilting, and family history. The two week camp culminated with a presentation of student family history projects as well as a student created camp quilt! |

Elementary Camp (for third through fifth grade) cultivated creativity and interest in science through the exploration of time. Students used the Internet to research the history of time as well as participate in hands-on science activities. At the end of the two week camp, students shared a time capsule and presentations with family and friends. |

Secondary
Summer Exploration Camp
served approximately 75 students
in grades six and
seven. These students were involved in a Tech Quest (Internet
research) focusing on China. Students explored kites, the origin
of fireworks, and other topics of interest as well as participated in a
specialized field trip. These students gained experience in
planning and producing original products as they worked toward the
Distinguished Achievement Program. The camp culminated in a
Chinese Fair. |
