Intervention
Accomodations

The Response to Intervention Process requires classroom accommodations to be made for students whose performance could be enhanced by the use of accommodations and differentiated instructional strategies.

The accommodations that are available for the whole class do not need to be documented on report cards. However, accommodations specific to the specific students must be reported to the parents, documented by the classroom teacher(s) and indicated on the report card.

These accommodations should not reduce the student’s grades. Examples of accommodations can be found at Intervention Central

Another excellent resource for Interventions is the PRIM (Pre-referral Intervention Manual) published by Hawthorne Educational Services, Inc. Many campuses have a copy of this valuable resource.
