Distinguished
Citizen Award
The
Pasadena Independent School District's Distinguished Citizen Award is
given annually, at the November school board meeting, to a resident or business person within the school system
who has demonstrated lifelong and unswerving commitment to the cause of
education and youth-related activities and organizations in our
community.
Distinguished
Alumnus Award
This annual award recognizes an
alumnus who has made significant contributions to society and whose
accomplishments and career have brought credit to Pasadena ISD. It is
presented at the March school board meeting.
Vanguard
Awards
The Vanguard Community Service Award
is awarded to 40 graduating seniors - 10 from each high school - who
according to the school's administration are leaders in community service
projects.
Service Awards Banquet
Held
in May to honor all employees who have contributed many years of service
to the Pasadena school district. Employees celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25,
30, 35, 40 and even 45 years of service receive an award in recognition
of their achievement. The employee receives a gift from a selection of
offerings available in each anniversary bracket. The gifts range from
pens and charms to diamond rings. Employees who have retired during the
previous year receive special recognition.
