The purpose of the Career and Technical Education Department is to provide students with marketable skills and an increased sense of responsibility that will enable them to become self-sufficient, productive, and contributing citizens in today's fast-paced, competitive, and ever-changing global economy.
Quality instruction linked to business and industry, career guidance, and active student leadership organizations are the key components utilized to maximize each student's potential.
The goal of the Career and Technical Education Department of Pasadena ISD is for each student to master the basic skills and knowledge necessary for (1) managing the responsibilities of both family member and wage earner; and (2) obtaining employment in a high-income, high-skill position, or continuing with post-secondary education.
