School resumes...Resources for dealing with the aftermath of Ike

Student meal notice
Pasadena ISD Child Nutrition will be able to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students (as they have for the past two weeks) through Friday, October 17. Starting October 20th all student meal statuses will return to their normal status (free, reduced, or paid.)

ACT testing rescheduled at Dobie High School for October 11
The administration of the ACT that was originally scheduled for September 13 has now been rescheduled for Saturday, October 11 at Dobie High School.  Testing will begin at 8 a.m. and students are encouraged to arrive early.  This announcement is only for those examinees registered at Dobie High School. The September testing date was cancelled because of Hurricane Ike.

Nominations being accepted for Gifted and Talented Program
Throughout the year, about five percent of Pasadena ISD students are identified for services in the district’s Gifted and Talented program. The program is for students who demonstrate advanced academic skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research and communication. read more

Pasadena ISD adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $0.00.
